Welcome to the Cook Farm! We are a 42.5 acre regenerative farm nestled beneath Owls Head Mountain in the Northern Adirondacks.

What exactly is a regenerative farm? A regenerative farm is an operation that produces any combination of crops and/or animals utilizing practices that reverse climate change by sequestering carbon into soil organic matter. Regenerative farms intentionally include functional biodiversity in order to enhance ecosystem services that provide critical inputs to agriculture, such as soil fertility, pest and disease control, water use efficiency, and pollination.

We raise a variety of livestock species including goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and ducks utilizing regenerative practices with an emphasis on the humane treatment of our animals. We are perhaps best known for the soaps that we make with our own goat’s milk. We sell our products online, at our on-farm store, and at the local farmers’ market.

We are firm believers in the power of local farms to address the instability of our modern food system, and we are dedicated to educating others about the issues facing American agriculture. We encourage people from all walks of life to visit our farm to learn how food can be produced in a sustainable manner.

We are proud members of Adirondack Harvest, High Peaks Farmers’ Markets, and Tri-Lakes Regional Farmers’ Cooperative.
